The G28 Acrylic Snare drum from GMS is to regular snare drums like a formula one racing car is to your average commuter sedan. So it's little surprise that the acrylic shell is decked out with racing stripes. The drum's acrylic shell offers a brighter, louder voice in comparison to wood shell drums. The drum has an excellent crack with a medium-warm resonance.The drum's bearing edges utilize a 45-degree cut on the inside of the shell and a shallow 45-degree counter cut on the outside. The throw-off and butt system was designed to be simple, trouble-free, and effective. The snare drum features 20 strand heat treated high carbon steel snare wire.
